Venancio Gomani — The Griot
The Griot · The Eternal Fire
In the old way, the griot keeps the memory of a people — in song, in story, in image. Three albums released across 2025 and a fourth being forged; a five-volume dark-fantasy saga becoming films; and a screen the whole continent has been watching. Gather close. The fire is lit.
Everything I’ve made, by one fire.
Songs, stories, and films — embers from the same flame. Light it, and the fire sings; then reach into the heat and pull out whatever calls to you.
Song. Story. Image.
Keeper of the flame.
Some are born to build, and some are born to remember. I was born to do both — but it is the remembering that keeps me awake. In the old courts, a king kept a griot: a single voice trusted with the memory of an entire people, so that nothing true would ever be allowed to die.
I make music the way that voice once spoke — in soul, in longing, in the languages of two homes that never quite agree. And when a song is not enough to hold the truth, I write it into a world: Ghost Tribes, where the dead refuse to stay quiet and power always arrives with a bill.
Now the fire throws a new kind of light. Film, made the new way, carrying these stories further in a month than a lifetime of touring ever could. Song, story, image — one keeper, one flame. Gather close. There is more where this came from than the world will ever finish hearing.
The Vault
For every song you have heard, there are a hundred you have not. Demos, voice notes at 3am, verses too honest to release — a vault that never empties, waiting for its night at the fire.
